Financial support for members experiencing unexpected hardship.
The DECIEM Family Fund is a financial aid program that provides team members and their direct family with assistance if they face financial hardship or adversity. Our Family Fund program is managed by the Emergency Association Foundation and all applications and grants are strictly confidential.
In addition, employees are given the opportunity to donate to the Family Fund, with every employee donation matched by DECIEM.
At DECIEM, we understand the importance of work-life balance. DECIEM offers a new parental leave policy that surpasses standard legislative entitlements.
DECIEM employees are able to receive up to 6 months of fully paid time off from work for parental leave. In addition, we offer our team a flexible return to work program, to support them further during this transitional period.
This is available to our permanent full-time or permanent part-time employees who are biological, adopting, surrogate, and foster parents of all genders.
Our team is given a number of paid personal days, which exceed government standards, to be used for mental health, preventative health activities, and to celebrate diverse religious holidays.
DECIEM also offers a number of non-statutory, spontaneous holidays to give our team time away from work to be human. This includes time to volunteer in their communities, vote, attend peaceful protests, reflect on current events and issues, and spend extra time with friends and family around the holidays and on birthdays.
