We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist who will manage the accounts receivable from retailers (re-sellers) across the globe. We are looking for someone with a sense of urgency, creatively charged, and results driven.

What would you be doing?

  • Reviewing open accounts for collection efforts
  • Resolves client-billing problems and rescues accounts receivable delinquency, applying good customer service in a timely manner
  • Identify issues attributing to account delinquency and discuss them with management
  • Review and monitor assigned accounts and all applicable collection reports
  • Provide timely follow-up on payment arrangements
  • Maintains up-to-date records on collections, disputes, holdbacks, etc. that may affect accounts receivable
  • Apply and reconcile customer payments in accounting software
  • Manage weekly cash forecast
  • Develops an efficient system for tracking outstanding accounts to ensure optimum results
  • Review customer credit applications and determine credibility of new customers
  • Mentorship and guidance to junior AR receivables staff
  • Help with development and policies and procedures for the AR function
  • Data processing when required

What skills and qualifications do you need?

  • Over 3 years of corporate collection experience
  • Knowledge of billing and collection experience procedures
  • Strong track record as an AR Manager/specialist
  • CPG & retailer experience within medium sized company
  • Demonstrated success as a business partner and team player
  • Strong intuitive and independent thinking ability
  • Strong communication skills – written and verbal
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Access
  • Solid priority setting and organizations skills with a high attention to detail and deadlines
  • Demonstrated success in problem solving and decision making
  • Post-secondary business degree or equivalent in experience
  • Desire to thrive in an unstructured environment working
  • Understands the importance of building a relationship with internal and external stakeholders
