What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone to join as a Junior Retail Designer to help us with various projects.

What would you be doing?

  • Collaborate with the design & store build teams
  • Drawing layouts (DECIEM design elements) that correspond with design manuals
  • Contribute to design development ideas
  • Creating stock list required for each store designed Eg. X50 Juno light fixture heads
  • Scouring design elements Eg. Ordering samples
  • Corresponding with architects Eg. Design changes
  • Aiding in the general assistance to the Retail Designer
  • Perform other duties, as assigned

What skills and qualifications do you need?

  • Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design or a related discipline
  • Knowledgeable in technical aspects of the practice of Architecture, and is up-to-date with Ontario Building Code
  • AutoCAD proficiency is required
  • Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch-Up, and Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) are preferred
  • Detailed oriented and self-motivated
  • Works well within a team and with a variety of people
  • Strong time management skills and ability to multitask with ongoing project
  • Strong graphic and design skills
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada and willing to travel for work
  • Must provide a portfolio if shortlisted for an Interview
  • 3D Modelling software (4D is preferred)
