Senior Inventory Analyst

The Senior Inventory Analyst will oversee the overall demand, planning of raw materials, and packaging for the entire DECIEM products. This position is designed is to enhance supply chain integration by supporting and assisting joint practices. We will need someone with at least 8 years progressive experience in inventory management who is strong at forecasting, auditing, and cycle count.


What are we looking for?

The Senior Inventory Analyst will oversee the overall demand planning of raw materials and packaging for the entire DECIEM products. This position is designed is to enhance supply chain integration by supporting and assisting joint practices. We will need someone with at least 8 years progressive experience in inventory management who is also knowledgeable about forecasting, auditing, and cycle count. Part of this position will be managing employee performance in the facility by utilizing appropriate processes including establishing objectives, coaching and mentoring. This position is required to trouble shoot fast, to solve problems, and to make important operational decisions in coordination with other DECIEM departments and senior management.

What would you be doing?

  • Proactively identify products at risk of stock-out; develop and execute action plans to mitigate low supply; maintain allocations on DECIEM ERP system per location (DECIEM global warehouses, stores and retailers)
  • Review, evaluate and analyze the impact of new stores/ distribution, and new skus in the development of the planning forecast
  • Adhere to inventory reporting, adjustment, investigative and control policies procedures and regulatory-compliance requirements related to Finished Goods
  • Develop and provide management reports, complete data analysis and business rationale on supply chain changes as needed
  • Perform detailed ad-hoc analysis as needed in support of the Supply Chain Team including clear documentation on monthly/quarterly forecast changes at appropriate levels of detail in close collaboration with production
  • Lead internal process improvement of inventory replenishment practices and implement Supply Chain best practices and efficiency improvements to ensure utilization of best methods in the development of forecasts, and material plans
  • Work closely with productions and partnerships to identify inventory shortages and significant supply chain interruptions to insure proper and proactive communication flow to retailers and online customers
  • Actively communicate real or potential supply issues with key internal stakeholders and management to minimize impact to operations and customers
  • Supervise daily activities of the warehouse and distribution centre, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service
  • Schedule and oversee warehouse team to meet the demands of the fulfillment center, and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime
  • Optimize picking, packing, inventory management and shipment processes and strategies
  • Drive cost improvement activities by identifying system improvements, inventory management, headcount optimization, and improved square footage utilization
  • Partner with temporary staffing agencies to support high peak periods and demands
  • Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols
  • Maintain warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
  • Follow and enforce DECIEM policies for workplace safety and conducting regular safety audits

What skills and qualifications do you need?

  • 8+ year experience in procurement, supply planning, demand planning, inventory management and Sales & Operations Planning
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or a related discipline such as Business Administration and management
  • Experience in product launch management especially cosmetic products
  • Excellent prioritization and time management skills. Problem analysis and problem resolution both at a strategic and functional level
  • Experience with MRP systems and familiarity with GMP practices are assets
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships, both externally and internally
  • Highly self-motivated; able to operate autonomously, on a team or lead a team in a dynamic environment
  • Strong negotiations skills and the ability to confidently to lead and inspire people through change in a fast paced and rapid changing environment
  • Proven ability to establish efficient processes and systems
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with a sense of priority for deadlines and attention to detail
  • Proven track record of leading, coaching, training, and managing teams
  • Effective time management, problem solving and communication skills
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential
  • Detailed oriented and ability to multi-task
