What are we looking for?

Currently DECIEM is recruiting for a Senior Regulatory Affairs Manager to be responsible for global logistics in the import and export of raw materials and finished goods.

What would you be doing?

  • Excellent knowledge of the Competition Bureau’s Enforcement Guidelines to verify label claims.
  • Excellent knowledge of US, EU, Canadian, and Asian customs and international trade regulations.
  • Excellent knowledge of tariffs and tariff codes.
  • Classify products using HS codes, FDA codes, FIT PC codes, and other commodity description and coding systems.
  • Prepare, submit, and shepherd import and export documents such as free trade agreements and certificates of origin.
  • Communicate with the FDA, CBP, or other regulatory authorities and delivering resolutions to any obstacle encountered.
  • Monitor regulatory landscape for changes affecting the import and export of finished goods.
  • Good documentation practices.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

What skills and qualifications do you need?

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field is required.
  • 10+ years working in logistics in the cosmetic, home care, or drug industry.
  • Experience working in customs or brokerage.
  • Extremely well organized.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with departments to implement changes or new systems.
  • Ability to mentor, coach, and develop staff.
