THE ISSUE
Disconnection is driving us apart.
Everyone deserves to feel like they belong. Yet our communities are divided within and from one another.
Loneliness can lead to isolation, and many find it hard to access the support and help they need to live as their whole selves.
Our goal is to build growth to power good. A world of belonging where every human can be safe to show up as they are.
Our approach considers the wider ecosystem that fuels loneliness and isolation.
Belonging is not a single-cause issue.
We are committed to contributing to a world of belonging in the impact areas where we have legitimacy and influence to make a difference: mental health, representation, 2SLGBTQIA+ and climate.
WHAT WE ARE DOING
We use our voice to raise awareness and tell stories and truths that matter.
We use our resources to support community organizations and their incredible work.
We do the work to create a workplace where our people can thrive and belong.

Indigenous Reconciliation
DECIEM calls Canada home, and as Canadians, we acknowledge the deeply rooted history of colonialism in this country and the past, present, and ongoing impact on First Nations, Métis and Inuit Peoples. Our Reconciliation Action Plan sets out 14 commitments that centre on relationship building. It reflects our intent to promote truth and build authentic relationships with Indigenous Communities.
